Anyone tried these drugs for anxiety? The problem is, when my anxiety hits my pulse and blood pressure remain in normal ranges. What about diazepam, Ativan, Lorazepam, or triazolam? I'm taking Xanax .25mg four times a day as needed. It does nothing. I might as well take a sugar pill, and my psychiatrist has already said he doesn't want me dependent on them. I don't care, I just want relief. Any advice welcome.0

I have not used either of those but my son (who has ADHD) used to take clonidine to help him sleep. It became less effective though when he became an adolescent.

I been prescribed both, didn't take the first, I just hate taking anything that in order to help with anxiety messes, with your blood pressure.

I take the first... It helps create a delayed reaction time... For me it works.

You may want to try an atypical antidepressant called Viibryd (vilazodone).

I hope this helps.
