Diagnosed with OCD and depression. Taking Effexor. Doesn't do a darn thing for my OCD. Does any member here know if I can take a med for OCD while taking Effexor anti-depressant medication?

I'm assuming by the title of your post that you are asking if it's safe to take Effexor and Celexa at the same time. It's fine, for most people. I take both and have done so since 2007.

Here it's not uncommon to be on a combination of meds to find what works best to manage our symptoms so that we can be healthy.

Splitimage. From your reply it sounds okay to take both meds. TY for replying. I wish you well on your meds and otherwise. Hugs.

My doc put me on Effexor and Zoloft because she said Effexor and celexa can cause something to do with heart rhythms. But in general it was safe to take other than the rhythm.
