Is anybody on Vraylar with a diagnosis of "schizophrenia"? I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences. My daughter was just put on it and I am very anxious since it is a new drug and the list of side effects are long and serious. Thank you!

I'm on Vraylar for bipolar, and it is amazing! Definitely one of the best drugs I've ever taken! The only side effect I had was nausea when first starting, and nausea when I upped my dose. I take it at night, taking it in the morning made me feel kind of 'off'.

I honestly wouldn't worry too much about the side effects -- all psych drugs have a laundry list of them, with half of them being very serious. But it's rare for the very serious ones to happen. Things like nausea, dizziness, sleepiness etc. are much more common.

If you've got any other questions about Vraylar, I'd be happy to try and answer them!! And welcome to PC!

I just started Vraylar for bipolar and was wondering if it was helpful. I am on a very low dose as I don't metabolize mood stabilizers well. I am only on 1.5 mgs in the morning every other day.

Hi!
I posted about Vraylar. I just started taking it. I am currently on 40 mgs of Latuda, 90 mgs of Cymbalta, 1 mg Klonopin and the Vraylar 1.5 mgs every other day.
My pdoc says I don't metabolize mood stabilizers well. I have been on a huge number of them so he has been running out of options.
I was in a Bipolar depression cycle for about 3 months. My pdoc is hoping the Vraylar will help. He didn't see the Latuda doing much. I have been on Latuda for six months at different doses. It just couldn't combat the depression cycle. The Cymbalt didn't help either. I have been on it for about 4 years.
Any thoughts you have would be appreciated!
Thank you!
