With my new insurance, I am required to use a mail order pharmacy for any medication that I take on a regular basis. Almost every medication out there in there information packet says to make sure the medicine stays within a certain tempature threshold. (Usually 60-80 deg).
When I order these mail order in the winter or summer the tempature the medication is exposed to has to be way outside of that range. Any thoughts on what affect this has on the medication? |

I really do not know, though my parents recieve their medications through the mail, and they have never said anything was wrong with the medications they recieve. At times if they are sent medications that need to be refridgerated or such they come in some kind of small disposable cooler overnight with some kind of freezer packs in it. If you know the telephone number of the pharmacy that will be sending you your medications, you should be able to speak with one of their pharmacists who may be able to answer this question. Hope it works out for you and that you are able to find some answers, sorry I didn't know much, just wanted to share what I have witnessed. Take care. ______________ ![]() If you think you have totally gave up, you haven't, because you are here!
