It's been over 12 hours since my last dose of xanax because I ran out and will not be able to get any until tomorrow. I am use to being on 1MG a day and I feel like hell right now.
Also, I haven't been off of them in about 7 years

Hi, annxo and welcome! I'm sorry that's happening to you. Is there anything you can do to help with the immediate symptoms?
Meanwhile, hang in there, knowing you'll get a refill soon.

Ugh, I've been there. Xanax has a short half-life. I take it you're on immediate release? I'm on XR and that gives me about 24 hours before I get panicky. I'm planning on weaning off XR soon but will keep the IR for emergency panic attacks and dental anxiety. I hope you feel better soon.

PS. Try to avoid caffeine during this period - it will exacerbate the withdrawal symptoms. Personal experience.

When I've tried to taper off Xanax it is really difficult. The withdrawals really kick your *** if you've been on a fairly high dose.

I've been taking 1mg in the afternoon and on-off 1mg at night... averagely I only take 1 mg a day...

Wow I know what it is like to be in benzo withdrawal hell. I hope you can get a refill soon.
