Well maybe. I'm considering it.

I have harped on other people frequently about not taking medications. It seems that now I am considering that very thing. Sigh.

For the interim, while I am weaned off Lithium I have been prescribed additional Seroquel for daytime use. Yes, it is taking the edge off of my restlessness and irritability; but, I am spending the day in bed sleeping. This is ridiculous. I question whether it is worth continuing to take these pills and if grinning and bearing the Lithium withdrawal symptoms are worth it.

Its possible that some of the withdrawals from the Lithium could be adding to your necessity to stay in bed as well.

Since you did say you are having the benefit of lessened irritability and restlessness.Maybe ask the Dr also about cutting the Seroquel dose in half until you get used to it.
