I have Cushing's Disease. The only medication that has shown any positive effect in my condition is Korlym. However, I accidentally stopped taking it and now I'm afraid to go back on.
The main purpose of the medication is to stop the effect of too much cortizol in my body, but when I take it it has a side effect period of a few weeks where I feel suicidal, hopeless, and scared, in addition to physical symptoms such as lethargy, weakness, and headaches. I need to take this medication, but I'm scared to deal with the side effects again.

I'm sorry you are faced with this difficult situation. It sounds as though perhaps some contact with your treating medical providers may be in order, as well as any mental health professionals you have in your life, if any. Good luck...
