I have been having severe muscle spasms in my eye lids to the point where my eyes swells. I am on Topamax (150 mg), Trileptal ( 600 mg) and Ambien (10mg). I have never had this happen to me before is this a common side effect? Also my vision becomes blurred occasionly.

Hi,
It may be the Topamax, it is known to do this, and when I started with it I had eyelid tremors and spasms, sometimes under the eyes too, when you look in a mirror you can even see them sometimes. Yes your vision can also blurr from the Topamax too, this you should report to your doctor just to be on the safe side. Ambein I have also used and other than dry mouth, headache and tired the next day that's all I had as side effects. Trileptal, I have heard about, but do not know much about. Keep in mind that everyone can experience different side effects that you may read on the drug monologue that most pharmacys give you when you pick up your meds. CamW can answer your questions more intensely but I thought I'd put my 2 cents in till he gets back to you. Also any questions you should ask your pharmacist and/or your doc just for your own safety while taking these meds. Sometimes a delay in doing so can be risky.
