For any of you that have experience with either or both, which do you prefer? which do you feel helped you the most?

I am trying to decide whether or not to stop taking Wellbutrin and take Trintellix instead. I have taken Wellbutrin since 2005ish and I'm kind of ok on it but I think it's losing it's potency. I've had several breakthrough depressions while taking it. Currently, I'm stable but have the option to replace it. I'm on the max dose of Wellbutrin XL.

Has anyone switched to Trintellix and found it to be better?

I tried both and Wellbutrin was the only antidepressant out of everything I tried so far to help me. I unfortunately had to stop taking it because it gave me seizures so I switched to Trintellix. Trintellix just made me feel numb. I lost all emotions.

could you try adding something to it? some people do well with an ssri+wellbutrin, some people use remeron. I seem to recall reading that effexor and cymbalta are used, too.
