I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow because my anxiety is a bit high and I'm taking Prozac 10 mg. I want to ask, so I could increase and take 15 mg first because I would feel more comfortable at that dose. How many days could I see an effect to alleviate some anxiety?

10 mg is rather low actually. Everywhere I look, it is actually indicated at a starting dosage of 20 mg- so yes, I would speak to your doctor about increasing the dose, and it should take a few weeks, seeing that you are already on a lower dosage, which would mean that there is already some level of the medication in your system.

If it is highly intolerable (the anxiety), you could ask for a few days supply of an anti-anxiety med such as Ativan, Xanax, Klonopin etc- just as an initial aid for when the anxiety peeks to an unbearable level. It is highly recommended that you do not use these types of meds for more than a couple of weeks at the most because you don't want to get into the habit of relying on benzos for anxiety.

I made a mistake, it's Fluoxetine. Which I think it's also called Prozac
