I've read that Doxepin can help with bipolar mania, I also see it works for insomnia which I get
I take clomipramine for skin picking but it is not sedating to me at all...
Trazodone I've built up tolerance to as well
Seroquel makes me relaxed but at 200mg doesn't help with sleep although I just
started it recently

Anyone taking doxepin? Experiences?

Indeed Doxepin can be used for bipolar disorder- not just mania but the entire balancing of mood as a whole.

I would say that it is vitally important that this antidepressant be used for bipolar as from what I read most other ones may induce worse mania.

I use Doxepin for sleep and for the mild antidepressant properties. I double up with temazepam at night but it is leaving me too groggy the next day so I am weaning off the temazepam. I have actually gotten more stable mood wise since starting the doxepin.
Thanks for this!
