My pdoc won't prescribe this for sleep ,i am on mirtpaine and it is helping me anymore.i need something like seroquel but safer ,i asked if it was dangerous and he said it could be. what are some seadtiving and that will help with my depression as well

I am using Doxepin right now. Very sedating for me and according to my pdoc has some mild antidepressant help.

Some pdocs prescribe Trazadone for sleep. (I didn't like Trazadone at all, but it works well for some.)

I take trazodone sometimes. It doesn't help very much, but its something.

I used to take trazodone. Some people find lower doses effective (like 25-50mg). I took 300mg, but I slept like a rock every night.

Current meds: Effexor XR, lithium (anti-depressant augmentation), propranolol ER, methylphenidate, armodafinil, amiloride, levothyroxine

...Lithium-induced hypothyroidism and lithium-induced diabetes insipidus...
