I’ve been on Abilify for almost a year now 30mg and I have gained almost 40 pounds I go to the gym often but just can’t get the weight off, anyone else in the same boat?

yes. Abilify is the only major tranquilizer/antipsychotic I can tolerate for any period of time at a full dose. The weight gain is...embarrassing. And because the Abilify people always pushed it as being "weight neutral," etc., the shrinks always blamed -me-, which was...extra special.
on the plus side, the shrink reduced 30 to 20, and after an initial adjustment period...life is good, and I'm dropping weight..slowly, but steadily. good luck |
