My doc is prescribing lithium on top of two other antipsychotics from before. I am tormented by the voice of the devil in schizoaffective disorder. I also hear the voices of God. I have an intrusive thought from trauma. So for this torment of the devil he prescribed lithium. Is this the right prescription?

Being a mood stabilizer, it might mellow you out and make it so you are less inclined to emotionally react to "the voice of the devil." But I would think antipsychotics would more the prescription for silences the voices themselves. Maybe your psychiatrist has an inkling as to what he's doing though.
Thanks for this!
