Hi I saw my pdoc today and i asked him about getting off cymbalta and he told me to take it every other day for 2 weeks then stop. will i get these flu like symptoms?

Hello detour: I don't know the answer to your question. Everyone's reaction to various medications is so different, I don't know if anyone can really say for sure.

What I can tell you is I was on the maximum recommended dosage first of Cymbalta, & then when it became available, it's generic equivalent. I tapered off over the course of 2 weeks which is what my pdoc recommended. I don't recall that I took it every other day. I think I simply, fairly rapidly, reduced the dosage down over the course of that 2 week period. It worked for me.
