I just started Effexor XR 4 days ago, and was wondering how other people have found this medication? I have found it is fine so far. I had a lot of problems with Luvox and ended up going to the ER because of it (well that's what i think) for
Possible trigger:
So this has pretty much cleared and I managed to work on some homework, which I haven't really done any in so long. I'm hoping this is the one. I have started on 37.5 mg. I have noticed one thing is that an hour or so after I take it I get really tired and can't really do anything after that. I take it at around 10pm, so it's fine, as long as I don't have any homework. It will help me keep a better sleeping schedule though. Thanks for any responses.

It really helped my depression for years. But if I forgot to take it, I'd get nauseated and have a horrible headache within a few hours of the missed dose.

Thanks. I've been on it for almost a week or so and already feel a lot better. The only side effect I seem to have is headaches. For all the SSRIs I've been on, they always got rid of my tension headaches from stress, but this one hasn't. I don't know. So i just deal with daily headaches now that last for hours.

I had really bad headaches when I first went on Effexor and every time we upped the dose. But I found they went away within a couple of weeks.

Hope the med works for you.

Thanks. It's funny you mentioned this, as Effexor is causing me headaches too. We were going to see if I need to raise to dose (my pdoc and I) but she said to wait a couple more weeks to see if my headaches go away, as they are pretty much daily.

Effexor was horrible I had migraines, nausea all the time, night terrors, always dehydrated even though I drink at least 2 gallons to 8L of water a day.

Then when I was took off cold turkey I wanted to do myself in and also tried as well....it was horrible.
