I have been through 5 psychiatrist since coming home from deployment. I have only left 2 for not connecting and 3 have left my clinic. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar in the last year and I already have been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, depression and adjustment disorder along with other illnesses. We are still in the medication trial phase to find out what combinations work. My latest psychiatrist left my clinic and before doing so cancelled my last appointment. I have been waiting over 3 months for them to get me a new one. I still do not have one, I have finally gotten a "temp" one until they get me one through the community. I was put in twice as an urgent consult because I have brought up many times my medications were not working. My moods are everywhere, I'm very angry alot (mostly at the system and it keeps building because I just want the help I've been promised with my med control) and bouncing back and forth between anger, irritability and depression, no in between or stability.

I was attending group therapy every week and individual therapy once a week. I do my individual for the last year and a half but just got told the counselor running group does not want me to attend until I get my medications and moods under control. How is that helpful? I have been through so many medication trials with antidepressants and mood stabilizers I honestly feel like a dummy and to now be kicked out of a therapy setting for venting (not once have I been violent or aggressive towards the members) I feel lost. The group counselor even told me maybe I should think of leaving that clinic and go to one who does med control and counseling and if that does not work out I can come back.

Sounds like they are giving you the run a round cause of their bad management and inability to hang on to Pdocs

I have not found the right combination yet and I have not had an appointment in over 3 months and do not have a set psychiatrist now. I have an appointment on the 11th with a "temp" psychiatrist but I have made it very clear over the last 3 months they were not working but they have not taken it seriously.

Based on my own experience, I agree with Nammu. Very frustrating situation to be in. I feel for you.
