Hi guys! It's been a while. I'm doing well on this end, and hoping the same for you. I have a question about my medications. My current/permanent regiment is officially down to two meds and one consistent PRN's. Along with this, i'm also taking a prescription weight loss supplement. I really struggle with keeping up with my meds, mainly out of laziness (I have a four week separator, have tried alarms and everything). Current T is thinking we should decide on getting back on the meds (been off roughly a month), or evaluating what stopping would look like, as she mentioned the on and off may be worse.
What does taking the meds inconsistently do effect wise? (Besides maybe not work well lol, at one point my pDoc mentioned I may have had half the dose I was supposed to be getting in my system at any time).

It depends on what meds you are on. I wouldn't do anything without a doctors opinion.

In general, for maximum effectiveness they build up in your system for the first weeks, then each dose is maintenance. Some meds require the build up and some don't. Some even require taking the same time each day. Best to follow doc's instructions on all.
