Because medicaid says you have to try 2 other meds before they will allow coverage for adderal I have to make a switch on a days notice. I already tried stratterra 2yrs ago it has a major reaction with prozac I take. So doesn't this one I have never just changed a med like this. Usaully you taper of one and start the other. Does anyone care no!

I will say adderall is basically the same chemical structure as Vyvanse and most people who tolerate one will normally tolerate the other pretty well. I know this might not help but sorry for you having to switch medicines.
I know sometimes if you have a doctor where you feel like they don't care research other options I don't know your insurance or financial situation but sometimes a new perspective can make a world of difference.

I'm sorry to hear you are having to deal with this. Insurances are funny....I had to try adderal before I could go to vyvanse and had to get authorizations for it when I did switch.

I actually liked vyvanse better. I had fewer side effects and it lasted longer, not needing to take it as often throughout the day, which was nice not having the dips in the middle of the day and late afternoon/eve.

I hope it goes well for you and find what works best.

im fairly certain that is a much, much lower dose of amphetamine than what you've been taking.

Yes I can feel it's not working. This is nut's giving me a drug that has a major reaction with paroxetine. So what do I have to do suffer a major reaction now. This isn't healthy. I brought this up today and the Doctor called in a pre- authorization for adderal. I wonder how long this will take.
