How many of you have experienced this due to any of your anti-psychotic medications? Geodon did it to me, and cogentin did nothing to help it so I went off of Geodon and refuse to ever take it again.

I just want to see if anybody else went through this before cause it was terrifying to go through.

OMG! That happened to me with geodon! I had to stop it of course. It was so scary and gave me a horrible headache. It's actually supposed to be treated in the er according to a past pdoc I told about this.

Yeah I was rushed to the ER when it happened the first time it happened. It was really scary not being able to see straight. They were trying to tell me it's a normal reaction to psych meds, I wasn't buying it but I didn't know what else to do so I stayed on it with the Cogentin added on. I ended up getting a new pdoc and she immediately pulled me off the Geodon.. I was soo relieved because I hated being on it.

I didn't have the rolling eyes effect, but I found Geodon to be a very strange medication with odd, unnerving side-effects. I tried it for 3 months and gave up on it.
Thanks for this!

Geodon was the first psyche med they put me on when I went inpatient. I didn't get the eye rolling thing but my jaw locked up instead. They gave me some stupid pill to take with it that made my vision blurry. Thankfully I got in to see a pdoc and she put me on something else.
Thanks for this!

I'm not sure exactly what you mean but something causes me to have involuntary eye movements. I think I gave my boss a dirty look by accident. She was talking to me and when she was done I half way turned around and my eyes got big and I kind of rolled them a bit. I think she saw. Mines probably more anxiety then a medication side effect. Although my doctor mentioned something about movement disorders from prolonged psych meds. I'm not sure this is a movement disorder though.
