So I just started abilify and my current treatment seems to be working in lifting me from depression. I can also say, my appetite has risen considerably. I am craving food when not even hungry. So I ask how can I not gain weight on abilify?

Just my experience of course, but I did gain weight, about 20lbs over 6 months time. However I had much success with it, and felt much better. Exercise also helped the weight and the mood.

Yea my pdoc mad me promise is so 4-5 cardio sessions this week.

exercise, diet. regular blood work in case your cholesterol, blood sugar, etc. prove to be an issue (less common w/ abilify than many other 'atypicals,' but not completely unheard of...).

I switched to generic Abilify and the first few days I was eating like a horse. Now a week has passed and my hunger is subsiding. I was eating everything I could get my hands on but now don't feel as hungry. I think the generic Abilify is working well.

Yea I'm on generic as well. I think my hunger is subsiding as well
