I wish I could help you, but I'm unsure of the answer. If I'd wager a guess, I'd say Klonopin, from my own experience.
Thanks for this!

That's what I'm thinking...a friend on another site asked this question and I thought you kids might have some experience with one or both...she takes Xanax o.25mg and only sleeps about 3 hours...

I am not totally sure. According to the benzo equivalency table I usually refer to, Xanax has a half life of 6-12 hours and peaks at about 1-2 hours. Klonopin's half life is 18-50 hours and peaks around 1-4 hours.

Of course, all this information may be hard to summarize into an answer to your question.

What I do know for certain (because my doctor told me) is that Xanax has a quicker onset than Klonopin.

From what I've heard klonopin lasts longer. Idk for sure as I've never been on any other benzo other than klonopin so I can't compare but for me it's very helpful if used correctly only as needed in very bad times and not relied on too much.

hi. both are high potency. klonopin lasts longer, but it also takes longer to feel the full effects. long-term, klonopin is more likely to cause depression or make depression worse. xanax has been used in some forms of depression, but i think that use is frowned upon now (high doses were used).

tapering klonopin or xanax can be difficult. i dont think either one is all that great as a sleeping pill, but id take xanax over klonopin for night time use, personally. ativan worked reasonably well for me for sleep. its high(ish) potency, more sedating than klonopin, lasts a bit longer than xanax, good for agitation.

hope this helps.
