Has anyone had an issue with this? My doctor sent a script on Tuesday they said I need prior authorization and doctor fulfilled it Friday. The doctor said it was approved however the pharmacy said the insurance is denying it. I contacted the insurance company who stated they never received a preauthorization from the doctor. The doctor said he did sent it and they replied to him it was approved. I dealt with this Tuesday and Wednesday. Today doctor did it again and provided the case number and confirmation number. The pharmacy said it is till denied. I called the insurance company and they put me in to the presuthorizstion department which hangs up after 20 minutes. This happened three times.

What is my next recourse?

I don't know what's left to do other than try to get that dept.
when I needed a prior auth it took a couple months to go through. The insurance denied it a couple times before my np got it to go through.

I just did 2 prior auth 1 was for Fentanyl patches that yook an hour , the second was for a very old muscle relaxant called Norflex that took 2 months.nothing about prior auth makes any sense .

I only had to get a prior authorization once. It wasn’t easy but I got it authorized. Now the medication is covered by my insurance and I don’t even take it anymore. Go figure.
