I've been on Paxil for 2 weeks now and just as I think I'm getting better and start having another anxiety attack.I suffer from OCD so when I start thinking about something Faint or other crazy thoughts I get a panic attack. I want this medicine to work because my sister and I are going on a trip together and she's worried that'll start crying have a breakdown or something like that. I just want the medicine to work so I can go on this trip because it is next week. Will the medicine working by then??

It usually takes around 4-6 weeks for medications to start working fully. For some people medications can kick in sooner or later, it just depends. But 4-6 weeks is standard. I didn't feel the effects of my medications until I had been on them for about 5 weeks.

Thank you I really want my medicine to start working I mean my OCD/anxiety is slowly getting better but it comes in waves. I mostly will have an anxiety attack at night or at random random weird random weird moments when OCD kicks in. I just want to get better and soon hopefully the medicine will start working.

Keep thinking positively if you can...worrying about whether your med will work will only make you more anxious. I know...easier said than done...but focus on the good times rather than the occasional bad...you'll get better!
