So my wife was taken off Cymbalta and Risperdal because the mix caused suicidal tendencies.

I bought her some lithium orotate and the psychiatrist gave her samples for rexulti.

So far so good. She has shown great results with rexulti 1mg.

The drug is kinda new and pricey(no generic available f9r the near future,) . The manufacturer has a coupon online for those with insurance.

I'm on Rexulti also. However, I have to use samples because I can't get a script.

Basically: Because I have a bipolar Dx in my records and the drug is not "approved" for treating bipolar disorder, my insurance is refusing to cover the Rx until it is "approved" for treating bipolar. I'm in the process of appealing.

I took Rexulti for a few months. It took me out of a severe depression. I was getting samples then had to pay $390 a month for it even with insurance so we stopped it and tried something else.

Also took me out of a severe depression. We have been scrimping by on samples. Just had to buy three months worth. I am on Medicare with UHC as a supplement. It's about $400 for 3 months as a start, then when you hit the donut hole it's $400 a month. We call our doc a couple of weeks ahead and ask if she can ask for extra samples.

My wife has cigna and cigna covers $875 leaving a copay of $125. I printed out the coupon from rexulti website and coupon says.. 1st month is free and 15$ copay thereafter for 11 months.

After the 1st year coupons runs out and i assume we would have to pay 125$/monthly for the med.

Hopefully she won't need rexulti for more than a year.. If she does then she will have to put money aside from her weekly check to cover the rx.

The generic for Rexulti is Brextipraxole. My PNP is having me think about trying it. I did terribly with Abilify and they are chemically similar, I am learning.
