I recently started going to a specialty pharmacy that packages my meds in what are called medication packs. They are all organized by day of the week and time of day. I get two packs at a time so they last me two weeks. If I were to leave town they would give me three weeks worth. I pay my portion of money once per month.
There are two or three pharmacies in my area that do this. But this particular one has staff that knows how to help people with mental illness and they have a lot of people from the Community Mental Health Agency where I go that get their medication there and they communicate a lot with Community Mental Health. So this one is the best one for me to go to in my area for this service. I am posting this because I have found this to be so helpful especially since I take a lot of medications. Especially when I'm not doing well like right now and am going through medication changes like now. It's much easier for me than arranging the medication in medication planner boxes myself. I want to let people that haven't heard of this or haven't considered it that would benefit know about it. In case you have a pharmacy like this where you live. Of course it must depend on where you live. But in my opinion if it would help you it would be worth looking into. Of course I understand that it's not necessary for everyone. I just thought I would put this out there. Last edited by Seqoya; Nov 13, 2017 at 01:09 PM. Reason: For to mention something |

Yes, they are called blister packs. I keep meaning to ask my pharmacy if they can do that.
