I know this issue has been discussed in many threads, but many of them are old. I just rd started Parnate. Every list of foods to avoid that Ive found conflicts with other lists. Does anyone kiow of a fairly reliable and somewhat current list? Thanks.

I was handed a flyer by the dietician in the hospital. (I was sent inpatient to get started on the Parnate, and temporarily dealt with another pdoc while there) It's probably the most extensive one there is, as there's a lot I can't eat. Way more than my regular pdoc and every pharmacist I've spoken, say. They just say something about red wine and French cheese.
However the dietician said the list I'm using contains a lot of stuff that can technically cause tyramine problems, but not in most people, but I should stick to it just in case. One thing, that some lists don't mention, but the pdoc and dietician did: food supplements can also contain tyramine. I'm only allowed to take 1 multivitamin and fish oil, more supplements was deemed to risky. |

I imagine you've bought a blood pressure monitor? Just monitor really closely after you've taken something that might cause a problem. For example I'm not allowed to eat food past its due date, but a few days ago I threw a pack of spices through the food whichs due date was somewhere in 2015, and I just monitored my blood pressure every hour or two until bedtime.
