I’m thinking instead of jumping from 20 to 40 celexa and having to put up with the horrid side effects I’m going to make an experiment. I’ll try going up my two mg per day and see how it effects me and if it’s worth it to take it slow. A big problem for me is slomnence so maybe I can bypass that and my nervous system will thank me.

gradual increases or decreases are probably a good idea. having said that, if sedation is an issue, have you considered something else? or adding something, instead of increasin the celexa?

Yes absolutely, right now I’m also taking Prozac for the energetic effect. I was planning on swapping it for more celexa but I don’t see that working out. The downsides of Prozac are agitation but it’s the only one besides cymbalta(bad for liver) that doesn’t make me zombified. But if I miss celexa one night the next day I’m very depressed. I think I’ll just stick it out for the time being then consider going up on lamictal after I stabilize.
