Anyone else taking this? I've been on it for a week. It is helping with my bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. The only thing though is it seems to make me restless. I am hoping this side effect will go away. I find myself needing to move, exercise, whatever because I can't just sit and be. I'm also having to take Ambien to sleep cause it makes me kind of wakeful.

Unfamiliar with Vraylar. How new is it? If its really recent my HMO formulary probrably won't cover it. Glad its helpful with your BP depression, anxiety. Hope the restlessness goes away soon.

I think it's fairly new. It is an atypical antipsychotic like Abilify or Risperidal. It's for schizophrenia but I guess it's also effective with Bipolar. Pdoc thinks I had a mixed episode recently so we're trying it. I hope the side effects go away too!

Yes fairly new med and I’m on 6mg. I really can’t tell if there’s any effects. My anxiety has been a bit high but that may be from benzo WD too. What you’re describing about not being able to sit still is akathisia. You can’t sit still. Constantly needing to move or stretch. I get that if I’m on too high of a dose but haven’t gotten it on vraylar.

Vraylar was approved in 2015. I was on it for a year before a hospital messed up my medications. I'm back on it now...6 mg...and love it! Vraylar is very energizing for me which helps a lot with depressive episodes...and bonus...no side effects like some of the anti-psychotics. I take it with lithium for BP ll and buspirone for anxiety.
