I just dont know why am i taking this med. Is it helpful in anxiety? or keeping a positive mood? coz i can understand that. but if it cant do any of those things than why am i taking it? Coz i dont have bipolar or schizo, all i have is plain old depression and a sh#t load of anxiety to go with that..

I was told it is an antidepressant, particularly for "bipolar depression". That's what it advertises for itself as well. I'm curious about this too because that's my next step if my current tx doesn't bump me out of the depression part. Add latuda on top of it.
Thanks for this!

It’s a AP that is best for depression. Not a antidepressant in itself. I took it for bipolar and ended up in psych for mania. Not sure why your doc would give that to you if your no BP or Schizophrenia. You got me there.
Thanks for this!

he says it helps with my depression. i've been through terrible suicide phases of depression in the last year, which i barely survived. Maybe thats why my docs just being proactive and taking all necessary steps to keep that sh#t at curb. But anyways, it was causing me involuntary muscle movements, so he pulled me off of it.

Quick question, where you on any other meds at the time. My pdoc brought it up as an extra depression med and also dealing with some signs (delusions and hallucinations) of psychosis. See it as the best option but am concerned because I had a similar reaction with SSRI and SNRI as you did with latuda

Yea I was on seroquel And a mood stabilizer too. You had psychosis?? You’re not bipolar?? I’d ask doc again about that. And Antidepressants make me manic too. Unless it’s Wellbutrin because that’s a dopamine booster, not serotonin.

I like it. Makes me kinda sleepy but I'm in a high dose. No weight gain.
