...too low to be effective. Drumroll... My Lithium levels are.... But my current pdoc is doing a great job of managing it unlike the last pdoc who completely, 100 percent abandoned me. (Never called, never sent the bloodwork order in the mail). The levels came in at 0.4 and it has to be at least 0.6 to do anything. Pdoc said 0.8 would be ideal. He said to go up to 750mg once my cold starts to go away... and then to call him in the middle of next week. If I feel okay on 750mg, we will raise it to 900mg. After 4 or 5 days on that dose, blood levels will get checked again. I also got thyroid, kidney, liver, and complete blood count done and everything was normal. Good, good.

I'm so glad to hear you got the specs on your labs and that they're good!

I hope the increase really really helps. This pdoc sounds like an intelligent caring professional .. sounds like a keeper!

Congrats, girlfriend

I am so happy that your levels are progressing. Glad you are seeing the pdoc you are now. Sounds like the other wasn't good for you. I have to agree... this one is a keeper.

Keep us up to date. I am truly interested in how your levels are progressing.

Also, I am so proud of you. You are obviously a fighter. Extra smart too. When do find out about whether you have been accepted into the phd program? Good Luck with that. You'll do great. Just know it.

You Go Girl,
Peacemaker (Sherri)
