My Pdoc just added wellbutrin 150 to my meds because I also have adhd
and he says it will help with concentration.
Does anyone take it and if so what do you take it for and what can I expect.
Thanks for any input.

I take it for bipolar depression. It is very activating in the beginning that goes away over time. It can increase your anxiety but it never did with me. I am on 300 mg of the extended release and I love it. YMMV

I just got put on it and I felt a lot of anxiety and irritation. My Doctor added Prozac. I take both now and I feel better.

Was the only AD to ever help me. I take it for BP depression. I take lamictal with it.
It did make me hypomanic once when I was on it w/o a mood stabilizer and when I restarted my meds after stopping I had terrible insomnia where I couldn't sleep for a few days and felt heart palpitations like my heart was racing but these effects didn't last.

It was too activating for me and gave increased anxiety and probably exacerbated a mixed episode that I experienced, but it works for so many with BP. I seem to hear people with ADHD take it a lot, so if that's part of the issue, it sounds promising. Everyone is different though. Since it is not an SSRI, my pdoc said it's good for a lot of people with BP, because it usually does not cause mania. I am not sure why it induced mania in me, so who knows.
