anyone else take vistaril with night meds to sleep? my pdoc in ip has me taking it along with my regular melatonin to get sleep. i think the celexa causes the insomnia but luckily this combo helps me sleep. 50mg was too much so i take a baby dose of 25mg to sleep

Vistiril does wonders for some people. It never helped me with sleep or anxiety. YMMV

well im not 100% sure how much it helps me. i woke up a lot while in IP but there was a very sick lady there would had outbursts every night and would scream at the top of her lungs until she was given a shot...so...sleep was hard to come by.

I take 25-50mg of vistaril nightly in addition to my regular sleeping meds of 200mg nightly. It takes a lot to put me to sleep. I wish it wasn’t this way, but it’s fairly effective. Vistaril alone does nothing, and sometimes trazodone alone does nothing, if my anxiety is high.
