[TRIGGER WARNING]

This post contains:

. Self harm?
. Skin biting.
. OCD type symptoms.

Read at your own risk.

I recently started taking Vraylar and have noticed some side effects. That is to be expected though.

On the 1.5 mg, I started getting tremors or hands shaking for no reason, and restlessness.

On the 3 mg, which is what I am currently on. I started getting a really weird symptom, I'm not sure what it is.

Last night,

I had a sudden strong urge to bite the skin around my finger nails off, usually I can control it. But this time I felt like I HAD to, like an itch I couldn't scratch. It really scared me and if it wasn't for the stress balls I have, my hands would be destroyed. My right arm and hand felt restless. I felt like I wanted to cry.

I experienced it again today, but this time at Adult Prep Program. Luckily I had my stress ball nearby. It didn't feel as bad this time though.

Has anyone ever experienced a weird symptom like that?

Vraylar is an atypical anti-psychotic. I got put on it because I was starting to hallucinate and become paranoid.

No, I am not diagnosed with Schizophrenia, yet.

Vraylar caused me serious anxiety, but none of the symptoms you've described.
Thanks for this!
