how do you handle weight gain? If I stop taking it will I lose the weight?

I lost weight after I stopped taking it but I wouldnt stop taking it without a dr approval.

Haven't gained any weight on lithium. On 1200 mg for years.

You could try seeing a dietitian? That's what I do (but I also have an eating disorder).
The dietitian could help you keep your food and weight in check so that you don't have to go off of it if it's helping you.

Well yes, the weight gain would stop, but I would still consult your doctor on mood stabilizer alternatives (Lamictal, Depakote, Tegretol and other alternatives)
