I am starting to feel depression creep up a bit, but I am pretty sure this is caused by seeing this medical doctor that is completely changing my life. So I have been calorie restricting because I need to lose weight, and he wants to change my testosterone levels even though I don't want to, because I'm trans* and am just waiting to see another doctor to prescribed me this (I saw someone about it, but they referred me to someone else). He technically said that I can't have any sugars or starches, and low fat dairy products, with no
But anyways, I think it is all caused by this, so I am unsure if it's my medications that need to be change or if I just need to wait like 6 months or so until things just get moving. Thank you.

Well... I'm perhaps not the best member here on PC to reply to this since I'm no longer on any med's & haven't been for quite some time now. But my personal feeling is that changing med's, or even just changing the dosages, can cause variations in the way a person feels. They may not even be big changes. But they can be just significant enough that you begin to wonder what's going on.
![]() ![]() From what you wrote, it sounds as though you're going through some changes related to testosterone levels. That in-&-of itself may cause some changes in the way you feel day-to-day I would guess. So then, if you also change your psych med's, that could just add to the complexity of figuring out what's related to what, I would think. Ultimately though it really all just comes down to how you feel & how you're functioning. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Do you have an endocrinologist you can talk to about the testosterone changes? I have some hormonal imbalances and I know if my hormones are off my mood can be effected. I'd mention this to your pdoc or whoever is prescribing your depression meds as well but I think it sounds more hormonal.

Yes. I am seeing my family doctor tomorrow. I want my hormones to change though. I want to be on testosterone and not lower my current testosterone levels. But I was told that I can’t have that until I’m prescribed it. I’ll ask what she thinks tomorrow. I do see my pdoc in a week and a half.
