Recently I got put on Viibryd by my psychiatrist. For depression.

He gave me a sample pack and also sent some to the pharmacy.

I'm currently on day 4 of being on 10 mg of this medication.

The first week for the sample pack is 10 mg. The second week for the sample pack is 20 mg.

I only noticed a difference on day 1. Where I could see everything clearer and less of a fog. Felt happier mood.

But now that I'm on day 4 I don't really notice a difference and feel depressed again.

I'm just curious, has anyone else been on this medication and how did it help you?

I noticed a huge difference on 20 mg. But then I started a couple other medications and I don’t know if that was the cause or not, but the viibryd stopped working. My doctor increased it to 40 mg and I just felt too tired to do anything. My husband is on 40 mg and it continues to work great for him. I had noticed it helped a lot with both anxiety and depression, and at first I thought it was the best medication I’d ever been on.

Thanks for commenting about your experience.

Honestly, I'm already on 20 mg now and I don't feel a difference at all. I just feel really tired and all I want to do is sleep.

I doubt 40 mg will help me. But my psychiatrist will probably up it to 40 next time I see him.

I was feeling better by day 3 on Viibryd. It has given me my energy back to do things and while I do have my good and bad days I have noticed it's no where near as bad as it was. My only problem is that it gives me insomnia. I have to take it during the day and I don't plan on tweaking the dose past 40 mg.
