My rounds with medication and mental health is all over the place. Basically, I've been on and off meds a lot of times, and have had so may diagnosis I couldn't say for sure what my "Title" would be. (Major Depressive Disorder & ADHD at the moment).

After getting some financial things handled, I worked with my GP to back back on medication.

My priority was Depression/Anxiety/Obsessive Thoughts.
The second priority was ADHD.

On Thursday I got prescribed Wellbutrin XL (300MG), Adderall IR 30MG (2xDay), Klonopin.05mg (2xDay), Lunesta 3mg (Night).

I've started them all except the Wellbutrin XL. I've had horribly experienced with Anti-Depressants before, but hope this time is better.

Any encouragement that the Wellbutrin will be good for Anxiety/Depression/Obsessive thoughts would be great. \

Hey, Matthew. I've been on Wellbutrin for many years now and of all the antidepressants I've been on, it's been the most effective and it has none of the side effects that are typical with most of them. I think you'll find it effective. My sister also takes it (and others), and it's the one that hasn't needed to be swapped with another antidepressant to find one better. Good luck.

I have bipolar 1 and cannot take ssri's. Wellbutrin has been a godsend for me as it does not send me manic.

I am on Wellbutrin XL 300mg too. It was the first anti-depressant that worked. It didn't really "fix" the depression, as in it didn't go away, but it stabilized me. I use another antidepressant in conjunction with it (Pristiq) and that works well.
