Has anyone gone off lamictal and then gone on Wellbutrin? I never try to mess with my meds. But I’ve heard that lamictal can cause sleep issues and can cause teeth issues. Both of which I have pretty severely. Wellbutrin is the only medication I will agree to try since it doesn’t cause weight gain.

Does anyone have any expirence with Wellbutrin? It doesn’t matter but did you lose weight and how much?

Wellbutrin is activating for me. I didn't lose any weight on it but I did quit smoking.

He said no. He said it will just make my anxiety worse.

---I think its very dangerous to ask a question like this without stating your diagnosis. Antidepressants are very tricky for bipolars. Wellbutrin, tho great for depression, is extremely activating or edgy. That is probably what he meant.

Shouldn’t he know my diagnosis though? I honestly don’t even know if I’m bipolar. Doctors have gone back and forth for years. I know I have depression for sure. More of the seasonal type though.

I take Wellbutrin, Zoloft and Effexor (do not ask why three antidepressants) for anxiety and depression.

I have got bipolar disorder, but we tapered it up very slowly and there are two mood stabilizers to keep things leveled out.
Wellbutrin was definitely activating. (as the doctor said it would be- helps with anhedonia and hypersomnia)

I did not lose weight, but my appetite was suppressed.

The issue seems to have been solved with a combination of Topamax and Xanax.

I was on Wellbutrin and it made me very anxious. Maybe another ad would be better.
