Will this happen. I've been on meds for years and changes them many times. So far I've been on some kind of med for 10 years now.
And one of them is klonopin.

I have heard people with problems from using klonopin every day. I would avoid that.

From what we know now, meds are needed for our issues. But maybe in the future that will change. I also recommend therapy. It has sure helped me.

There's no way to know. Bipolar disorder could be gene-edited out of existence by Korean geneticists next week, or we could all be on toxic meds for the rest of our lives, by necessity or plan.

I have only been on meds for 2 years, and I have the same fear. I was a wreck before the meds, the meds kind of changed my life... but I tried to come off them and dis great, yet 3 months later had a mental breakdown. Now here I am, been upped to double my usual dose plus klonopin. Fml.

I ended up in emergency yes, but didnt have to stay. I just lost my memory for 20 minutes or so. Was the scariest thing I have ever experienced.

I was on meds for about 15 years. I was scared to go off them. When I was IP last April, they took me off all meds. I have done better off meds than on. I also have the support of an excellent therapist.

I can relate. I've been on meds for 6 years now and I really do not want to be on them for life. But they keep me stable. I wish there was an alternative, but for some of us we may have been dealt a tough hand. At the very least, a good, understanding pdoc is a must in my experience.

It is a very hard thing to contemplate. It may or may not end up happening.

I have been on some form of medication for 30+ years both psych meds and more recently meds for various physical issues.

Truth is I doubt I would be here without the psych meds. Anti depressants, Anti psychotics, Benzos and the list goes on.

I truly am surprised to find I am still alive in my 50's.

Odd thing is, I remember everything! Just suddenly forgot what the names of things were and other things... I knew I had forgotten it, it was like my brain stopped working. Have a CT scan next week. A little worried
