hi i usully can not pinpoint when i am tired enough to go to bed and i feel like it better to take them with a meal.

so

is it safe to take bedtime medicine psychiatric medication at/after dinner instead?

in the morning i take clonidine and abilfu and at night i take clonidine lamictal abilfy and colazapam,

what is the best way to take these medicines to get the best results?

Hi Mnby123. Welcome to Psych Central. I help a friend with these kind of questions and a talk with the prescriber usually is a way to work it out. Different things like how much energy one has in the day, how easy it is to go sleep and other questions from the prescriber give them enough info to make the call.

Psych Central cannot give advice on medications but others may share their experience. In the end the best one to talk to is the psych doc or prescriber. If that is not possible talk to the pharmacist.

I personally take my clonidine, abilify, and lamictal before bed. That is just my preference my doctor said I can take them anytime I would like. I used to take them in the morning but found myself dragging a bit. Ask your doctor

For me, it is much of a muchness taking it after dinner or at bed time. Especially as they are close together. Bedtime medications are often indicated to be taken at 8PM, although that may be no where near your actual bed time.
Often meds that are prescribed as night time meds are due to the fact that they may cause sedation, so factor that in when deciding when to take the meds.
