I started on 150 mg of wellbutrin extended release four days ago now. At the same time, I have been taking my last doses of Prozac, 20 mg, until I stopped today.
Every time I've taken the wellbutrin so far, several hours after taking it I have crazy intense stomach cramps - not an upset stomach, but cramping pain. When I eat dinner, I get dizzy spells and nausea. I intend to wait it out and hope it goes away, or talk to my dr. I've heard a lot of people have stomach issues, dizziness, etc as side effects of wellbutrin but I'm wondering if anyone has experience using it with Prozac? I feel like I cant tell what problems are from what med! Any insight would be helpful!

I was on generic Wellbutrin 10 years ago. I quit because it gave me horrible bad breathe. I never had stomach problems with it. The only medication I had stomach problems with was Trintellix. I am back on Wellbutrin with the only side effect is dry mouth.
As always, share with your doctor what you shared here. Great luck to you! |

I take wellbutrin with no side effects except for a little bit of extra energy in the morning.

Call your doctor immediately. Also, I rapid cycle also and I learned the hard way that 150 mg causes a lot of problems w hypomania for me. It’s a very individual thing.

hi. i had that with stimulant Rx for the add. sometimes, wellbutrin just isn't for some people. you might could do with a lower starting dose. also...prozac stays in the system a long time (long half life). my 1st thought was/is that the prozac might be making the wellbutrin blood levels higher than you'd expect from a low dose...and since you're just now starting, it could be like getting hit with 200mgs or however much, and that might be a bit much for your body to deal with. just a thought.
