Hi there!
I’ve started on Abilify and have not experienced any major side effects thus far; only question I have is regarding drowsiness. Has anybody else experienced drowsiness? Maybe it is not the Abilify, but could it be? My doctor said that it wouldn’t make me drowsy like Zyprexa or Seroquel (which really knock me) because Abilify is more activating. I take the Abilify at night. Thanks!

hi. i take the abilify in the morning. a previous psychiatrist was adamant about taking it no later than 10 AM. the current doctor just says that a lot of people who take it too late in the day have difficulty getting to sleep. and yet...
drowsiness happiness, even in the manufacturer-funded studies. i think it depends on dosage, too...one former pdoc told me that she found low doses more 'activating' than the doses used in bipolar I and psychotic disorders. |

I take my 20mg of abilify in the AM. I find it an activating drug at that dose.
