I take a tricyclic (nortryptiline) and an atypical one (tianeptine).

Still, I don't feel really better.

I cannot sleep really well so I was given Zolpidem (ambien), but I don't want to take benzo-like meds for too long.

I was thinking on asking my pdoc to give me agomelatine instead (another antidepressant, agonist of melatonin receptors), it may help my sleep.

Yeah, I take paxil and wellbutrin along with my other meds, I never liked ambien for sleep, it felt more like blacking out than actual sleep. I take 200mg of seroquel for that now. I took remeron years ago which is I guess some kind of antidepressant that can also help with sleep but I don't remember how it affected me

Yes, I take Remeron and Effexor together. I take the Effexor XR in the morning and Remeron at night. Remeron really helps with my sleep, I find. It honestly knocks me out, which I like. It doesn't make me tired during the day either.

Does anyone else take more than one antidepressant?

Cymbalta and Wellbutrin~This combination has worked well for me but I have an appointment this week to remove the Cymbalta & replace it with something else... maybe Buspar? Any insight on that?

The side effects of Cymbalta for me are just too much to deal with... mainly EXTREME constipation, also weight gain and gas. Kinda sad and frustration becasue this combinations works for me otherwise... Gerrrrr
