Does any one know of any medications that will help counter weight gain caused by seroqeul?

I have been on Metformin for more then a year. It did reduce my cravings and kind of hold my weight in place but it caused diarrhea

Yes I had the same problem. I think honestly when we are handed psych meds they need to hand us a medication to stop the weight gain most every Med causes.

Die from mental health illness

Or

Due from all the health problems psych Med obesity causes.

Not any good option.

Topamax/Topiramate can sometimes help with weight gain.

stimulants...wellbutrin+naltrexone combo pill (I think its called contrave), the phentermine+topamax combo pill...a switch to either a less weight gaining atypical or maybe to a low to moderate dose of an older drug...

there's not really a whole lot, sorry.

oh Pat86,
I feel you , i had the same problem with seroquel and now i have metabolic syndrome/ insulin intolerance and it has caused significant weight gain to the point of diabetes. My endocrinologist is sure the Seroquel caused it, today i see my pdoc and am asking again to have the seroquel changed to saphris.
I am at my wits end just like you , good luck with your weight and know you are not alone.
