Hello,

I'm planning to discuss taking Lexapro within my next pdoc appointment. Are there any positive experiences with it?

Is it energizing or sedating? How does it work with anxiety disorders and mood?

I took lexapro for years and found it helpful.

Personally, I took it in the morning but didn't find it energizing or sedating. It was neutral. I was mostly taking it for depression and it pulled me out of a pretty bad episode. It helped some with anxiety too, but for a while I was also taking buspar for anxiety. If the anxiety is bad, you might ask about that too.

I’m taking it now I’m on day 5 and I’m feeling restless on it and I’m sleepy groggy, and it’s interrupting my sleep at night I keep waking up so I’m hopeful it will pass because I took lexapro 13 yrs ago and I did great on it , maybe it’s like this in the beginning maybe until my body gets use to it.

It works great for me, but is energizing as I have bipolar. I take a mood stabalizer to balance it out. No problems.

I took it and it worked the best out of everything I've tried BUT it made me anorgasmic which was a deal breaker.
