Good results for me. I didn't notice any side effects either. I mean when I went on it I went from pretty low to fairly even keeled.

It helped my depression a lot. It didn't interfere with my sleep but it didn't make me sleepy, either. It did help some with nerve pain that I have from spinal stenosis. Overall I would recommend it.

I didn't notice any benefit. I had some side effects that made me want to transition off. For me, Latuda works well for managing my depression.

Hi Roxanne I have been on it for two weeks today and just starting to feel improvement. It takes two to three weeks to build up in your system to start feeling better. I decided to try it because someone I know said it made a big difference for them once they were on it a couple weeks.

I have resistant bp depression. Of the 24 I have been on over the decades, four have worked:

Least Effective--Cymbalta. Way better than SSRIs.
Better--Wellbutrin. Lot better.
Better yet, Lithium--saved my life in 2008. Amazing.
Best--an NMDA antagonist similar to Namenda but not Namenda. Total, utter miracle from God. By far the best. Cannot take due to SE, tragically.

My depression is glutamate- and dopamine-mefiated. Serotonin plays zero role in my brain

Cymbalta caused anxiety attacks. It took 6 months to figure out that it was the med. I've had some pretty strong reactions to meds. I've also learned that healing the traumatic events of the past will help more than meds. Finding our humanity and making connections is worth more than taking a pill that might help.

I've taken it for a long time and not noticed any bad effects. It gave me more energy and the willingness to get out of bed.

I take it in combination with Trintellix, another AD. I also take an AP. and and ADHD med. The Cymbalta does not seem to have any bad side effects for me. IIRC it did take a bit for it to kick in, maybe three or four weeks. We had to raise the dose from 30 mg to 60 mg. Then I started seeing the "therapeutic benefit." It did not affect my sleep (I take it in the morning). I don't think I gained weight on it though I gain weight on my AP which I take at the same time so I can't be certain of that.
