I recently started taking Fetzima. I'm on day two on 20 mg.

Day three I start the dose I'll stay on, which is 40 mg.

My question is has anyone else been on Fetzima? How did it make you feel? Did it help?

I noticed it's helping with my anxiety. Even though it's an antidepressant.

Day one I noticed no difference with my depression.

Day two I notice a bit of energy and feeling a bit happier. Who knows how long it will last though.

I tend to have bad luck with antidepressants. They help at first and then stop working.

Update:

Like I thought would happen. My depression is back full force.

Not sure if it's the new antidepressant causing this or just my depression acting up.

I've not tried Fetzima. Not sure your history but maybe you need a mood stabilizer or an AP or something to bolster the AD. I have to take two AD's and an AP to be sane. Maybe you need something in combination. Can you talk to your Pdoc? I'm certainly not an expert, just someone who has been on most of the AD's out there. Currently I'm on 20 mg of Trintellix and 60 mg of Cymbalta and 4 mg of Rexulti plus some ADHD meds and sleep meds and anxiety meds. But the Trintellix/Cymbalta/Rexulti blend seems to help a lot with my mood. Okay so it's not helping at this moment, but usually it does. Rexulti caused me a lot of weight gain though. Stupid AP's. HUGS I hope you find something that will work for you soon!

Sorry that's happened. Sometimes we do need a combo of meds to feel good. For me, I am on two antidepressants, antipsychotics and an anti-anxiety med.

I am not sure what the maximum dose is for Fetzima, but perhaps you could talk to your doctor about increasing it. I hope you feel better soon. Oh also, antidepressants take 6-8 weeks to have their full effect, so although it's really hard to have patience with them, it's good to be patient, too.

Yeah my pdoc is a genius. But he is a neuropsychiatrist so he is super smart!
