I wonder if my Pdoc can give me an AP PRN for when the hallucinations are bad. I wonder if you can take a second AP with Rexulti.

Dear SlumberKitty,

That is a good question. Do you think a pharmacist would know about that? I have no idea. Hope you find relief!

Sincerely yours, Yao Wen

I'm going to ask my pdoc today if he thinks it would help me. Thanks Yao Wen

Pdoc gave me a second anti-psychotic Latuda. To work in conjunction with the Rexulti I am already on.

I can take Seroquel PRN, but I have only needed it once in the past few months. Used to have PRN Zyprexa and Haldol in the past too. Here's hoping the Latuda helps.

Thanks Sapien. Right now I'm having trouble getting the insurance to cover it. The doctor's office is working on it. So I may or may not end up being able to take it. I mentioned Seroquel as a possible PRN but Pdoc didn't seem keen. He says it is too sedating. But then he told me to take the Latuda at night because it makes you sleepy. Sometimes they make no sense.

To me, the whole point of a PRN is to be sedating lol. I'd rather take a nap than be agitated or terrified about nothing. I hope the insurance company ends up approving the Latuda, it sucks how they constantly try to get in the way of our treatment. They won't let me have my temazepam when it's the only thing that helps my insomnia.

Yes, I hope your insurance company pulls through for you. So frustrating.
