My new Psych. wants me to go off Klonopin as a PRN and give Haldol a try seeing as I am trying to pregnant and all he says Haldol is safer. How effective is Haldol with panic attacks though? Anyone here on it? Or know how effective is? Thanks Guys!

Hi, again-

I went to the top of the screen and clicked on "meds" and it took me to a list then clicked on "Haldol" and that will take you to alot of information about it every thing from side effects to pregnancy.

I was able to return to the support forum by clicking on the "support forums" at the top of the Haldol page.

This is best to take it up with your pdoc further, many meds can cause damage to a developing fetus, and can be of risk.
Klonopin is an anti-anxiety med, where Haldol is an anti-psychotic, I do not understand his decision, but then again I do not know you and your pdoc.
He may have taken you off of Klonopin besides what you stated here, because it is an addictive med, pdocs like to limit the period of usage.
I wish you luck with this, I think you posted this in General, I replied with a lengthy repy, then at the same time my computer locked up so I do not know if it ever showed up.

I took a haldol this week and it seem to make my anxiety increase! What gives?! Has anyone had this happen. I was taking as prescribed per my psych. for anxiety. Is anxiety a side effect of Haldol? Hope you guys can help me with this one. I will be bringing it up with my psych. as well next week. Thanks!
